In order to cooperate with local governments, which play a key role in the fight against climate change and to increase technical capacity, trainings were given to technical personnel assigned by 39 district municipalities in Istanbul between June 7- July 9 within the framework of “Project on Improving Climate Change Awareness and Engagement in Istanbul” carried out by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, funded by the Republic of Turkey and the European Union, of which contract authority is Central Finance and Contracting Unit.

At the end of the training program conducted with contributions of invaluable local and foreign academics and specialists on fight against climate change on local level, international climate change negotiations and Turkey’s position, COP23 Climate Conference, carbon management and climate change action plan, participants received certificates.
