Project Purpose :

To reduce greenhouse gas(GHG) emission in Akçadağ, Malatya, to promote domestic waste sorting in minimum 1000 households living in Akçadağ, to promote reduction of greenhouse gas emission by informing 150 farming professionals in the district, to prevent obstacles for reaching EU standards and transfer best practices together with innovative methods used in establishment of farms and waste areas, to train municipality and NGOs staff, working in related fields and to work on implementation of outputs of trainings and to put them into practice.

Activities/ Outputs:

1. Citizens will be informed about reduction of greenhouse gas emission in Akcadag through practices of waste sorting in their households.
2. 150 Farming professionals will be informed about reduction of greenhouse gas emission.
3. The rates of greenhouse gas in waste storage will be reduced as a result of project activities.
4. Trainings will be conducted for citizens and students to reduce greenhouse gas emission, competitions will be organized, 1000 pine saplings will be planted.
5. Best practices in the Netherlands though study visit.
6. Recycle containers will be placed in certain areas and distribution of rubbish bags and bins will realized as part of raising awareness activities.
