In order to prevent climate change by reducing electricity consumption in homes, “Training on Energy Efficiency” was organized within the framework of the “Project on Consumer Awareness and Responsibility in Energy Use to Reduce CO2 Emissions in Cities” under the “Grant Program of Capacity Development in the Field of Climate Change in Turkey” funded by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey, and of which main beneficiary is the Central Finance and Contracting Unit.
The training was held on 17-18 February 2018 at Edremit Vocational High School. On the first day of training, Training on Energy Efficiency for children was held with the participation of children aged 5-10 years. The training aimed to educate children at an early age about the energy consumption in their homes, the children entitled to be “Energy Detective” with games, painting, cartoons and surprise gifts.
On the second day of training, Training on Energy Efficiency for Adults was held in order to reduce electricity consumption in homes and prevent climate change.
