Climate Change Training Held in Çanakkale
In order to raise awareness on the local scale and capacity building in our country, Trainings on Climate Change planned to be held in 20 provinces within the scope of Enhancing Required Joint Efforts on Climate Action Project (İklimIN) carried out by Turkish Republic Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation within the framework of financial cooperation between European Union and Turkey, continues.
The representatives of relevant public institutions and organizations, development agencies, universities, non-governmental organizations and local administrations operating in Çanakkale participated in the sixth training held in Çanakkale on 9-11 July 2019, as well as representatives local administration of Balıkesir. The participants received trainings on various subjects such as “Elements of Turkey’s Fight Against Climate Change”, “Scientific Basis of Climate Change”, “Cities and Climate Change”, “Interaction between Climate Change and Turkey’s Agriculture”, “Economic and Social Impacts of Climate-Based Disaster” and “Effects of Climate Change on Human Health” within the scope of the three-day training.
