In order to carry out commercial activities in an environmentally friendly way, 4 lessons are organized to understand what decoupling is and how it can be applied practically. The first two of these lessons were held on January 11, 2018.

    

With the awareness to be provided through the lessons, it will be possible to maximize profit if commercial beneficiaries act in accordance with the decoupling strategy during economic activities and to spread the implementations for minimum environmental pressure while maximizing this profit.

Many researches are being carried out internationally in the fight against climate change and solutions are proposed to reduce the pressure on the environment as a result of adaptation to climate change and economic activities through future projections. The concept of “decoupling” has taken its place in the literature as an increasingly important concept in the last 40 years due to these researches and projections. In order to carry out commercial activities in an environmentally friendly way, it is necessary to understand what decoupling is and how it can be applied practically.

In this context, “Project on Increasing Public Awareness by Establishing Commercial Beneficiaries’ Capacity in National Climate Actions” carried out by Kadir Has University within the framework of the “Grant Program of Capacity Development in the Field of Climate Change in Turkey”, has been prepared for the practical understanding of the concept of decoupling by commercial beneficiaries.
